TSN analyst Glenn Healy made me LOL (cool eh...."laugh out loud") Sunday night during the final stages of the second game of the Stars/Sharks series.
--Is your playoff pool Monday night, Tuesday night or have you already had it. Who went #1
--There is no more doubt seeing they made the playoffs and made it as division champs, Alexandre Ovechkin is the MVP. You can also argue Bruce Boudreau should be coach of the year.
--Eric Tillman should be commended for getting the Riders almost to the salary cap. To be just 54-thousand over after the mess he inherited is a true accomplishment indeed. Perhaps moreso than helping form a Grey Cup champion.
--I love the Blue Jays retro look. Keep the powder blue!!!
Here is the youtube video of Prince Alberts Darwin Head winning a million dollars at last nights Vancouver Canucks game.
I applaud TSN's effort to reach out to former NHL coaches to provide insight analysis, but Mike Milbury? Come on, Mike Milbury? The same Mike Milbury who traded a young Todd Bertuzzi and Bryan McCabe for an aging Trevor Linden? The Mike Milbury who got rid of Roberto Luongo, Taylor Pyatt, Tim Connelly, Jason Spezza(draft pick), Zdeno Chara and Eric Brewer, not to mention countless others in exchange for a whole lot of nothing? Every time I see Mike Milbury giving advice on the T.V., I believe the exact opposite.
I didn't watch the leaders debate last night but by 4:40am on Wednesday I had already heard two very poor reviews in the newsroom. I understand the format was not that strong. The majority of the debate had the three leaders talking over one another. I'm glad I gave it a pass. I chose the Atlanta/Montreal game on TSN which went in to a shootout. I feel pretty good about that choice today. My friends in the newsroom tell me the issue of crime came up last night in the debate. Saskatchewan crime and national crime will not drop substantially until the the system is fixed.
