Wouldn't THIS be great?!?! A movie about Eva Cassidy's life! It's being produced by the daughter of Robert Redford (Amy Redford). Early reports have Actress Kirsten Dunst playing the role of The Songbird! It's in pre-production now, filming could start early next year.

A big salute this morning to Husky Energy! The Oil giant has donated $100,000 to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation. The money will be used to buy 4 pediatric heart monitors for their emergency rooms. The equiptment will allow doctors to make better diagnosis and treat syptoms quicker. Magic 99 is a proud partner in The Stollery's fundraising efforts. We join with the Foundation's CEO Jennifer Wood in thanking and congratulating Husky Energy for playing such a vital role in our community! And our children thank you, too!!
If I do say so myself, I make pretty good pumpkin pie. My mother, who is really a great cook, asks me to bake them each year for Thanksgiving. Given that no one else is ever allowed to cook anything for that feast, I consider my small spot a badge of honour. Some secrets in my own, personal recipe;
-add a 1/2 teaspoonful of vinegar to your pastry mixture. Makes the crust extra flaky. Just don't add too much. Did that once...never again! :)
